Natural teeth are often so badly damaged by fractures, cracks or natural wear that conventional filling therapies are no longer possible and fully ceramic crowns are necessary to help your teeth back to a natural, beautiful and healthy appearance. If a tooth is lost, the gap can be closed with the aid of a prosthetic bridge.

Aesthetic and functional dental prosthesis

The natural crown forms that part of the tooth which protrudes from the gums and which is covered by dental enamel. The artificial crown is a fully ceramic tooth structure which replaces the entire outer part of a tooth down to the gums. A crown is precision-made by our dentist and dental technician and connected permanently to the underlying natural tooth.

In most cases, we use full ceramics for our patients. The fully ceramic crown is like the natural tooth, light-permeable and transparent. It produces a perfect aesthetic result and makes a perfect invisible connection to the gums.

The tooth must be prepared before the crown is attached. The tooth is ground minimally into the ideal shape. The crown is then fitted to the natural tooth and finally fixed with cement.

This varies from one patient to the next but the process is generally as follows:

The impressions made of your jaw are sent to our dental laboratory, where the fully ceramic bridge is produced. After completion, our dentist puts the bridge in place and fixes it to both adjacent teeth with the aid of cement.

In order to be able to fix the bridge to both adjacent teeth, these are slightly ground to make the bridge fit.
